PRP INJECTIONS

PRP is a concentrated source of platelets containing growth factors found naturally in your body that help stimulate the collagen regeneration process. Injection PRP into problem areas increases collagen and elastin production. This improves skin quality and combats fine line, wrinkles, discoloration and crepey skin.

before your appointment

  • Consider avoiding alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood which will increase the risk of bruising).

  • Discontinue Retin-A at least 2 days before treatment.

  • Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible, for a period of two (2) weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as Aspirin, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wart, Omega 3/Fish Oils, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDS can all cause thinning of the blood and can increase the risk of bruising/swelling after injections.

  • Schedule PRP injections appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event, such as a wedding or vacation, to allow any bruising or swelling to subside.

  • If you have a rash or blemish in the area to be treated, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can reschedule your visit.
